Drastisch gesunkene Wahlbeteiligung
An der Europawahl am 13. Juni 1999 nahmen nur rund 273.000 Kölnerinnen und Kölner teil. Damit nutzten nur 41,2 Prozent aller Wahlberechtigten ihr Stimmrecht.
