The sprachraum is a meeting place for intercultural exchange and learning for people from diverse backgrounds. Open since October 2015, it is volunteer-run and located in the Josef-Haubrich-Hof, adjacent to the Central Library.

At the sprachraum you will meet:

  • Refugees who want to learn German
  • Organizations and volunteers offering assistance

The sprachraum has:

  • WiFi
  • German language materials
  • Group and individual work spaces
  • PCs, CD listening-stations, etc.

The sprachraum offers:

  • Regularly scheduled programs to learn German, free of charge
  • Advice, homework help, information and cultural exchange
  • Close affiliation with the neighboring Central Library
